Welcome to The

Hope Hearing Room

The Hope Hearing Room

This is where we learn how to hear His Voice in Hope and speak the truth in love.  In this room we encounter, adore, and magnify the God with a Hopeful Voice, and we see His Face as the One who Speaks to Guide Us.  In the Hope Hearing Room, you ask the Lord hopeful questions about yourself and your life.  You ask the Lord questions on behalf of others.  God asks us to ask His Hopeful Questions on His Heart!  Questions like:

  • “Ask Me what you mean to Me.”
  • “Ask Me what I love about our friendship."
  • "Ask Me about the hopes and dreams I have for our relationship.”
  • “Ask Me how I want to help you to open up and unpack this gift called life.”

Asking the right questions leads to revelation, which is why Jesus often asked questions. The highest form of love is to listen to someone's heart.

“Come near to listen…” – Ecclesiastes 5:1
"One thing I have desired of the Lord… to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire of His heart…" - Psalm 27:4

THE COUNSEL TABLE OF THE LORD

Asking is about coming before the Lord at His counsel table and inquiring of His heart. He wants to create an ongoing dialogue and process with us because if He gave us all the answers immediately, then the dialogue wouldn’t happen. He loves the process of unfolding His heart.

"For who has stood at the Table of the Lord, and has perceived and heard His word?" - Jeremiah 23:18

At this place, we inquire of God’s heart. We have adored the right faces of God in the right time. Now, we sit at His table. We look Him in the eyes. We commune with Him. We get to tell Him how much we feel for him, how much we long for Him, how much we desire Him. We hold His hands. We reflect on how much He’s been there, how much He’s been our dearest friend.  We look at Him as our Wise Counselor, and our authority over all the earth. We ask Him questions, and He gives us answers.  We come to Him at this table sitting together arm and arm. We experience His transforming power. By gazing into His likeness, we become like Him.

NEW HEARING AIDS

In order to be forces of Hope in our cities and nations, Jesus hands us new hearing aids of hope in the Hope Hearing Room.  He puts them on us and so we can hear Him rightly--his laughter, His joy, His Hopeful solutions.  We hear in hope, pray in hope, and suddenly things start to change because we're participating with Him.  We hear His heart, His confidence, His Patriarchal Hope.  We hear His voice of nurture and love instead of fear--He doesn't feel fearful about the future or the pathway.  He challenges us to speak and be Hopeful Reformers as He is and was.

NEW EYEGLASSES

In the Hope Hearing Room, Jesus also hands us new eyeglasses to replace the big, blurry coke-bottle type glasses we had.  We adore Him and see Him for who He is so we get brand new vision from the Lord.  God longs to open up our eyes so we see Him rightly.  He says, "Stop looking at circumstances and seeing the challenges first, and instead see the eyes of Jesus.  He holds the world in His hands.  He has Supreme Power and Authority over all that is needing His touch."   He wants to enable us to see success in Him for future years.

The journey of intimacy and wisdom with Him comes from the place at the Hope Hearing Room table where Jesus the Wise Counselor is there. His angel of appreciation is there that appreciates us, values us. He tells us we’re highly esteemed at this place, and our hearts become secure. He tells us how to move forward in this time, in this hour.  He takes us deeper at this table to perceive what He’s told us, to get the importance of the questions and answers He has for us in this time, and to bring us to a greater level of certainty.

Corner 1
Hopeful Questions To Ask God

Corner 1 | Hopeful Questions To Ask God

Here, we learn to ask the right hopeful questions about yourself, about others, and about God and what He's doing. The right hopeful questions lead to revelation.

Jesus often asked questions in conversations. For example, He asked His disciples, "But who do you say that I am?"  This provoked Peter to his most revelatory thought he'd ever had--that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the Living God!  Jesus asking His friends questions was part of their discipleship, and drawing out the thoughts of their hearts.

"You are the most excellent of men, and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever." -Psalm 45:2

In this room you ask the Lord the right hopeful questions about yourself and your prayer life with Him.  You ask the Lord prophetic questions to hear His heart for others. You ask about the next generation, about cities and nations.  Most of us have thoughts about these things--from the Word, from authors and popular teachers, from our own experiences.  But the key to the Hope Hearing Room is to get comfortable asking God what He thinks!  Do you know that He hasn't just said it once, one way... but He wants to say it again, in all kinds of ways that apply to you, to today, to the area you live in, to what is coming next?  Our hearts posture ourselves before our Good Father to ask, ask, ask!

THE PORCH SWING

He answers back.  God listens to us as we talk to Him.  We aren't asking into the air, we're having a conversation with the true and living One.  We learn how to talk to Him as a friend, about anything.  Your own personal “Porch Swing” is a place of sweet communion and counsel where you share and God shares back.  You can inquire of the Lord for specific decisions and specific areas of your business, family, ministry desires.  A deeper level of friendship is developed with God and we become like Abraham – a friend to God and one He hides nothing from.

"And the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?" - Genesis 18:17

God's heart is hopeful.  He doesn't think like we think.  He doesn't get down or discouraged.  His view is always bigger, higher--not denying what goes on down here but lifting our eyes to be with Him in the midst of it, above the clouds.  He wants to retune us, and Hopeful Questions is one way He can.  You can’t miss His hopeful heart when you ask Him these questions and prompt Him to answer!  It changes your whole view!

Corner 2
New Hope Hearing Aids

Corner 2 | New Hope Hearing Aids

Here, you will receive new Hope Hearing Aids to Hear His voice in Hope! These equip you to hear rightly so you become a force of hope in cities and nations. You'll hear His joy, laughter, and hopeful solutions. You'll hear the Holy Spirit untwist unhopeful things you have heard or been taught in the past.

“In that day I will restore the fallen tent of David. I will repair its gaps, restore its ruins, and rebuild it as it used to be, that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear My name,” declares the LORD, who will do this." - Amos 9:11-12

Jesus has such wild dreams for the planet!  But the enemy is a Hope-Stealer.  At any given time, we can't perceive them.  We literally feel like nothing good can come to pass--or persevere, to change the earth.  Yet Jesus didn't think this way.

One time I had a dream of Amos 9:11-12, where a room opened up as in the Upper Room of Acts 1 and 2.  In this new Upper Room the Second Upper Room, the Lord proclaimed Amos 9 that He would glorify His name in the nations of the earth and restore it for Jesus.  But we needed tools to do it.  We needed the Counsel Table of the Lord where we hear His heart.  We needed the Porch Swing where we talk to Him easily, as a friend.  We needed Hopeful Questions where our hearts humble themselves and bend to His narrative.

"As they approached the village where they were headed, He seemed to be going farther. But they pleaded with Him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So He went in to stay with them. While He was reclining at the table with them, He took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus—and He disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us as He spoke with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?" - Luke 24:28-32

He is always wanting to go further with us!  He's not walking on to leave us, He's walking on so we will come on His journey!  It's over the globe, to put His footprints over the earth.  He wants to open the Word and stay with us if that's what with Him.  We bend with Him as He leans into us.

He asks us to put on Hope Hearing Aids and Hope Eyeglasses--the tools of Adoration and Asking.  This Hope Room is like where the disciples limped up in loss and despair but when He came into the Room and saw Him, they saw His face and everything changed.  It secured and advanced their hearts in the day.  He walked alongside them on the Road to Emmaus and heard His heart, and it burned within them.  They became unshakeable in that place, relying on the God of Hope to guide them through their commission to the nations!

"For by their own sword they did not possess the land, And their own arm did not save them, But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, For You favored them..." Psalm 44:3

Nothing is done in our own strength.  God is Our Hopeful Guide.  Our new Hope Hearing Aids are beautiful and multi-colored.  When the Lord showed them to me, they were truly stunning!  The many colors represent the multitude of aspects of God. As the old antiquated hearing aids are taken off of us and the new ones are put on our ears, we can hear through the wonderful filter of “the true nature” of God.  They cause us to:

  1. Hear His Heart vs Information
  2. Glean new Confidence
  3. Receive God’s Nurturing vs Cold facts
  4. Encounter & experience God the Patriarchal Father
  5. Have Hope & Love instead of fear

When we listen to His heart, He speaks hope into hopeless situations. In fact, He is the only one who can do this! The world is enveloped in negativity. Some amount of Christian religion is as well.  But Jesus shifts our perspectives from hopelessness to hope through His Voice. He speaks His good plan for all the areas of life where we feel hopeless, including our own paths. He already believes in us, and He knows His good plans will come to pass. In return, we develop an unshakeable Hope and trust in Him.

"And who is the Rock except our God?"  - 2 Samuel 22:32

Practical Application

Ask the Lord: in what ways do you miss His heart when He speaks? Do you hear information or facts, instead of experiencing Him as the Comforter or Father He wants to be?  Do you hear fear or negativity when you read the Word, instead of boldness, love, and hope?

Corner 3
Hope Eyeglasses

Corner 3 | Hope Eyeglasses

In corner 2, Jesus gave us new Hope Hearing Aids. Here in Corner 3, He gives us new Hope Seeing Eyeglasses. These Hope Tools give us the ability to see, behold, and adore the many Faces of God that He wants to reveal to us.  We put down the God of the old glasses, the old ways of seeing, and we pick up the new.

"His eyes are like doves beside the streams of water, bathed in milk and mounted like jewels." - Song of Solomon 5:12

There is something in the Bridegroom's eyes we are not to miss.  The new Hope Seeing Eyeglasses are about giving us eyes of Adoration. They are blue-- They are Revelation“Son”-Glasses that bring Jesus into focus throughout our journey.  And they transform through gentleness-- of doves, of bathing.  They remove the pain and replace it with Him. Not just personal pain, but pain over dreams, promises, visions for cities and nations--plans of our hearts which failed or didn't come to fruition like we thought they would; over competitors who moved in or maligned us, prevented our hopes from coming to pass.  Jesus has new Eyeglasses for us to put on.  When we do, we adore Him and lose our pain through adoration.

One time I had a dream of waves that were trying to crash over the Body of Christ and they were 70 feet high.  I was only 30 feet above the ground so that I and others were drowning.  The Lord said, "I have measured you in hope and you have come up wanting.  The only way above is to adore, adore, adore."  I realized that as I adored Him, I grew in strength and rose above the waves.

"I had heard of you with the hearing of the ear, but now my eyes have seen you." - Job 42:5

First He sees us (SOS 5:12) and then we see Him (Job 42:5)!  Seeing Him heals us from what we've been through.  Seeing brings us to the new place He wants us to be.  God wants us to SEE Him.  The only way we can do this is to focus supremely on His face, His character, what the Word is ministering to us noverbally.  70% of communication is nonverbal, so we are healed as we allow His love to minister to our hearts in this 70% nonverbal area.  If we close that off and rely on the 30%, we only get 30% of His love that is available!

"Thus the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend." - Exodus 33:11

The hearing and seeing come together.  Oh the heart of God who wants to speak to us as a friend, FACE TO FACE.  In this second Upper Room of Hope, He offers these new eyeglasses.  When you receive them, 3 wonderful things happen to you:

  1. You receive new seeing-eyeglasses that give you the right perspective.  God longs to open up your eyes so you may see Him rightly.
  2. You see Him rightly through “Face-to-Face-Adoration-Prayers” with God
  3. Instead of always looking to your circumstances and challenges first, You first look into the eyes of Jesus, the One who has Supreme Power and holds the entire world in His Hands.
"With Your counsel You will guide me, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? and besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." - Psalm 73:24-26

Corner 4
Hope Prayer

Corner 4 | Hope Prayer

In the last Corner of the Hope Hearing Room, you learn how to pray in hope, having heard His Hopeful voice.  You have received Hope Hearing Aids and Hope Eyeglasses.  You have adored the God of the Hopeful Voice, and asked Him hopeful questions to hear hopeful answers.  Now you are ready to pray in hope!

Most of the world is not praying in hope.  Some are praying out of religion.  Prayer is reduced to a formality, a ritual, a holy institution.  For some it's only when bad circumstances come, for protection, aid, or help.  Even for many of us, prayer is a habit or list of needs, others' needs.  All of these are better than no prayer at all, but what about the God who created prayer?  Why did He do that?  What was in His divine heart?

Encountering and Relating to Him.  God tells us to pray to encounter Him.  We must love Him enough to focus on His Voice!  First you wait on Him and ask Him what's on His heart.  You tell him what's on yours and listen to His responses.  Then you encounter and pray with Jesus, the One you now know, the One whom you've heard speak.  You raise your thanks, praise, adoration, requests, and challenges before Him believing He's with you.. because HE is.

He always will speak HOPE to you.  You pray out of love, not fear.  You watch and listen to Jesus as He is attentive to you and answers your prayers.  You wait for the Hope Answer, believing and praying for it to come.  Then you celebrate with joy and thanksgiving when it does!

The Hope Prophetic

You will see others the way God sees them and can pray or prophesy out of this Hopeful View.  For some, the prophetic is a new concept. We must remember that it is really simple and clear. The prophetic is God speaking His mind to us and us hearing and responding to Him. The prophetic allows us to see God for who He really is and allows God to be known, heard and understood.

As we cultivate a life of Constant Communion with God, we truly begin to see and know Him for who He is. As this happen, we begin to understand the value of human beings in His sight. We learn to hear the heart of God not only for ourselves, but for the sake of others. The Hope Prophetic puts worth and value on others. We begin to see prophetically what God sees in them. They are specific and direct and act as a springboard for enabling a believer to focus on hearing the heart of the Lord in specific ways.

THE FIRST DOOR

Right Seeing and Hearing comes through the filter of the Nature of God. It’s about His Nature and Heart. It is not about you saying the “right words.” It is about you being an aroma and carrying His Presence. You must reproduce and reflect Him.

The most important reality of the prophetic is to reflect the nature of God and who He wants to be to the person you're praying for. It takes hours to get into that place in His Heart. The first reality when we hear His Voice is often black and white--meaning you hear the critical reality of a situation. This is always true, but then He says, “Now go with the spirit of understanding and search My Heart out... It is not about the situation, it is about My Heart!”

THE SECOND DOOR

Right Asking leads you to intimacy with God.  If the prophetic does not lead you to intimacy, but it leads you to promotion, then it is not good. You should be led into the Heart of the King. Do not lose the “David in the field" to become “King David,” or you will lose your life and your way. Instead, stay in the field, playing your harp, and if you become a king, never be a king in your mind.  Jesus never let himself be a king.

Remember prophecy is not about recognition, but intimacy. You are the poor one who can save the city, yet no one remembers your name.  It is the intimacy that you experience when you appreciate His Voice with others. I say: “Would you consider this...”  then I leave and I experience intimacy with God, walking hand in hand with Him, experiencing His Love for another human, and how He appreciates and loves them.

THIRD DOOR

Right Asking leads to affection towards people.  Do not lose affection in your heart for people, which can be easy after a lot of ministry.  There is an affection that God wants to release to people through the prophetic. The new prophetic will be solidly rooted in the nature of God's goodness and sweet communion with Him.

Hope Hearing Prayer is the ONLY WAY TO GO!  When His Bride is praying this way, His heavenly purposes burst forth!  His Bride is radiant and adorned with His radiant purposes.  Hope prayer brings His Hopeful solutions to the earth because we are filled with the confidence and wisdom and resources we need to make it happen--and are partnering with Him, adoring Him, as they do.

We have more on the Hope Prophetic, if you click on the "Teachings" tile below!

Practical Application:

On a piece of paper, or in your journal, list your Hope Challenges. What blocks you from praying in hope and love? List any circumstances, doctrines, or teachings which the Lord brings to mind. Ask Him what He thinks about each one. Take your time. Hear the Hope Answer.
