Our Staff

Bob Hartley – is the founder and CEO of The Hartley Group, a conglomeration of five successful businesses. Also, he is the founder of the Deeper Waters, Inc. ministry.. Bob has served as a youth pastor for the Metro Christian Fellowship and Area Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, later serving on the FCA/KC board. Bob is a highly sought-after and very popular speaker locally, in America and around the world.

Terry Hartley –Terry, who graduated from Belmont College in Nashville, returned to Kansas City and became involved in a large Presbyterian Church and later the KC Fellowship. Terry has led Bible study groups and compassion works. She is well known throughout the nation and world because of her faithfulness in leading prayer sessions with the International House of Prayer.

Michael Sullivant-  is the Executive Director of Deeper Waters and the Hartley Institute.  He and his wife, Terri, have been married since 1977, have lovingly raised five children into adulthood and presently have four grandchildren. All the members of their clan are passionate followers of Jesus who are expressing their broad range of gifts and talents in wonderful ways.

John Shore – Public Relations Director for  Deeper Waters. He is a life-long resident of the Kansas City area. At age 50, John retired to begin an urban ministry for youth, which continues today. Later, he became a national officer and the KC local director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes spanning an 11 year period.

Elaine Hart (Deeper Waters Author and Speaker) – Elaine brings to Deeper Waters a passion for seeing the God of all life honored and incorporated into business and helping people know their value. Her background includes 30 years in the marketplace, training in leadership, speaking throughout the world, television and media production, writing several books, and serving as CEO of Youth America, Inc., Director of Hartbeat Productions and a Director with the NFL Kansas City Chiefs.

Jewell Baraka – (Executive Assistant for Deeper Waters) After joining Deeper Waters and focusing on development of corporate prophetic articles and research in the message of hope, Jewell was asked to step into a position assisting Bob Hartley in his research, writing, and speaking throughout the world. Jewell lives and resides in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jeff Lovett (Director of Presence Based Business Development) – Jeff has a deep love of business and coordinates all business related conferences, training, and resource development. In 2009 Jeff joined the Hartley Group and Deeper Waters team. Jeff is an intregal part of the leadership team, launching initiatives such as the 52 Weeks, the Partners Program, Presence Based Business leadership training. He is a gifted musician who enjoys leading worship and recording Hope songs.

Pat & Cate Bryson (Hope Team Member) Pat leads the Deeper Waters Champions of Hope Internship with his wife, Cate. Pat is a sought after speaker who teaches and ministers in the prophetic and he serves as a coordinator of the monthly Hope 101 Training and and Friday Night Celebration and Encounter events. Pat served in Pastoral Ministry for 30 years. In the market place Pat has operated as a Sales Manager, Mental Health Crisis Counselor and a Police Chaplain

 

OUR BOARD

Bruce Burchfield (Chairman of the Deeper Waters Board) – Bruce serves as a Chairman of the Board for the Deeper Waters Hope Team and resides in Concord, NC with his wife Lisa and their four children . Bruce owns and operates several business in the Concord area with his brother, with a passion for the kingdom of God to invade every sphere of society.

Kevin Mangold –Formerly working in the corporate world in hotel management, for the past 26 years Kevin has devoted his life to full-time ministry. For the past 15 years, his travels have included many mission trips to the island of Cuba where Kevin has many partner churches and Christians which he serves. Kevin has ministered extensively with Bob for a long time and is always available to assist him at any time.

Craig & Pam Luper – Craig is the founder and executive director of Nehemiah International Ministry, and has been involved with missions since 1996. In 2002, Craig and Pam were called to move to Concord, NC, where Craig served as Executive Pastor of Crossroads Church for nine years before founding Nehemiah International Ministry in 2011.

Pastor Kyu (Q) Kim – For the past 25 years, Q has served as a youth pastor, campus ministry founder, EM pastor, KM pastor and Senior. Today, he is the head pastor of H.O.P.E. (House of Prayer for Everyone) located in Riverdale, MD.

Danny Han – Danny has been involved with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Korea Campus Crusade for Christ and presently is the senior pastor at Joy Christian Fellowship, a predominantly young Asian-American church in New Jersey and New York.

Scott Sells –Dr. Sells is a retired Professor of Social work at Savannah State University in Savannah, GA and Associate Professor at UNLV in Las Vegas, NB. Dr. Sells is currently the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Parenting with Love Limits. He and family and children live in S. KC MO.

Bob Brown – lives in Canberra, Australia and assists Francis Low in “Communion in Canberra” which is a prayer group of the city. He is a strategic advisor to industry, not-for-profits and professional service firms. Bob is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds tertiary qualifications in Economics from the University of Sydney.

Francis Low – started regular prayer meetings in the Austrian National University Canberra which led to a move of God among a number of university students in mid to the late 1980’s . He has been facilitating and coordinating prayer in the city of Canberra for the past 15 years and currently leads (with others) a city wide prayer group called “Communion in Canberra. Francis has a commercial legal law practice and works with many local as well as international business clients.

Steve Mallison-Jones – Steve has been a marketplace leader running various recruitment businesses and serves as a Trustee for Workplace Inspired. Steve also is a Trustee of Trinity Broadcasting Network in Europe. He and his family love to worship the Lord and are currently building together in Grandview, MO.

Marsha Huber – After serving for 24 years as Professor of Accounting at Otterbein College teaching courses on Financial Accounting and Taxation, Marsha has joined the faculty at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, She has a Ph.D. and is a CPA. Marsha is regarded as one of the top educators in her field.

Jeremy Affeldt – is an outstanding major league pitcher. Born in Arizona, Affeldt and his wife reside in the State of Washington. Jeremy first broke into the major leagues in 2002. This left hander played for the Kansas City Royals, Colorado Rockies, and Cincinnati Reds and now is pitching for the San Francisco Giants. He was a part of the Rockies’ 2007 September and postseason run and pitched three scoreless innings in the World Series. Jeremy has a heart for youth and he and Bob Hartley have worked together in conferences in the past.

Joe Balentine – is a successful banker and real estate developer. Joe lives in nearby Raymore, Missouri. Joe is active in his church, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as a member of the National Board of Trustees and both he and his wife currently serve as Co-Chairs of the local Kansas City board.

Gregg and Shelley Dedrick – Gregg worked for the past 20 years for Pepsico, YUM brands and as President of KFC. Gregg also took a two year leave of absence from the corporate world to serve as the Executive Pastor of the Southeast Christian Church which the Dedrick family attends.

John Lee-  John Lee is currently  Pastor of Korean Presbyterian Church in Rockville Maryland and a very recognized speaker and Leader.
